Abstract
This research ‘’ Kurdish Personalities in the Historian Ibn-Alhanbaly’s (971 A.H/ 1563A.D) Book : “Durr Alhabab
fi Tarikh Aayan Hlab’’ is a historical research deals with the Kurdish personalities mentioned in this book
which is a unique record relating the life of the notable personalities in Aleppo City.The book is considered to be
a source of original historical records.The biographies of Kurdish personalities in these records are diverse; They
comprise different classes and associations ranging from the biographies of the administrative and religious posts,
judges, famous Mufties, notable scientists, legislators along with biographies of common people as musicians
,tailors, merchants or any other people known for their craftsmanship. This historical record is the first source in
the history of the medieval centuries that mentioned the name of (Buzain - Bzeni) as a Kurdish tribe.
