Abstract

The Literary commitment in the Mathnawi of Mam and Zin

Ahmad Khani was one of the committed, freedom-seeking poets and a unified poet with a monotheistic attitude. In the path of his literary multiplicity, he does not spare any effort to wake up people from their negligence, and with his rich poetic feeling and power of expression, he created lofty, deep concepts and eternal human themes in his poetry. The current research exposes the evidence of the Mathnawi’s text of Mam and Zin, which had social feelings and thinking of the Kurdish nation, which briefly gives the artistic and poetic value of his work. In this article, by using the descriptive-analytical method, the aspects and themes of his poetic literary commitment are discussed in the political, cultural, social, and religious fields in order to show that Ahmad Khani was not a non-committed poet, Since he was aware of the conditions of the people of the time and the problems of the oppressed Kurdish nation, in this way he considered himself responsible in front of the huge mass of people. Therefore the spirit of sympathy and help dominated his poems to solve their pains and deficiencies. So the results obtained from this research are proofs of the fact that Ahmad Khani is committed to the identity and historical authenticity of his nation and land. His main concern was preserving human value, dignity and respecting his political and social rights.
