Abstract

Research about the role and attitude of Kurdish jurists in the outbreak of the Kurdish revolution in September 1961-1963 is important. The role and attitude of lawyers need to be presented during the start of the revolution.

The importance of this research is to highlight the reaction of an important conscious section of Kurdish society in South Kurdistan, including lawyers, to the revolution and their continuous efforts towards the political developments in Kurdistan. Their role and influence in all events of the revolution should be discussed and investigated.

 This research uses analytical and chronological methods, using information from sources, evaluating and analyzing events according to historical chronology, and recording events based on historical scientific methods. The role and position of Kurdish jurists in Kurdistan's political developments between 1961-1963 is presented.
