This research is titled ((The Alternative of diphthong in Kurdish Language)) the scope of the research includes Central Kurdish (Sorani) Dialect. For the sake of Comparison, Samples from other Subdialects are taken and they are analyzed according to Synchronic-Analytic method. In general, the aim of this study is to eliminate the presence and absence of diphthong in Kurdish language on a scientific basis, because this phonetic phenomenon requires a comprehensive study. Although, it has not been refered to this phenomenon primarily, there is a Sort of ambiguity due the lack of understanding the concept and structure of diphthong. Likewise at the possibility of not having a diphthong, this study tries to find alternatives to this phenomenon. Accordingly, the study is divided into five sections: Section one is an introduction to the topic. Section two talks about the concept and the term diphthong. Section three: explains the type of diphthong. Section four: covers the existence and absence of diphthong in the Kurdish language has been discussed. Section five: the alternative of diphthong in Kurdish language has been presented.
